Turmeric (Curcuma Longa) is a member of the ginger family and has been used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine and healing for ages and it is now gaining popularity as a potent health food. More than two hundred compounds have been identified in Turmeric. The most significant bio-active compounds in Turmeric are fat-soluble polyphenolic pigments called Curcuminoids, which are responsible for Turmeric’s distinct orange-yellow hue.

Turmeric is also a very good source of iron, potassium, magnesium and zinc, and contains some of the essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6, which are not produced by the human body and must be obtained from foods. Derived from the roots and rhizomes of the Curcuma Longa plant, it grows naturally across India where it thrives due to the tropical climate. The best-known Turmeric is grown in the Allepey region in Kerala in Southern India.

DIRECTIONS OF USE:

Mix 1 teaspoon of High-Grade Turmeric Blend to 200ml of water in a shaker bottle. Alternatively, add to Smoothies, Curries, Lattes, Yoghurts or use as an ingredient for everyday recipes and baking. Tastes great with Almond Milk, Coconut Milk, Tea, Coffee / Hot Milk and Honey.

Turmeric Blend Tea Recipe: 1 Tsp Earth Signature Turmeric Blend + 2 slices of Ginger + 1-2 Tsp Honey + 1 slice Lemon + 1-2 slice (s) Chilli.
